There's been a nasty stomach bug going around, so, I figured it was that. Yesterday, he was perfectly fine. We ran some errands, he played, he was eating, fine. This morning, I woke up on my own, which doesn't normally happen. I looked at my phone - 9:15. I ran in to Ethan's room, and as soon as I opened the door, I smelled the smell. I raced over to him, in a panic, and grabbed his arm. He looked up at me, and closed his eyes again. Whew. He was okay, but he had vomited again over night.
He hasn't been himself this morning. We tried giving him Pedialyte, and after his first sip, he threw up. I'm thankful I had yesterday, and have today and tomorrow off of work to hang out with him. All he wants to do is sleep and cuddle, poor kid.
That's my brief update on us. :)
I have a recipe for you today, as promised to my Twitter friends yesterday. I made this recipe for the first time yesterday, and Jarrod's response was, "This is like a professional meal!" It got 5 stars in my meal planning app. We will be having this again and again, it was so good!
Tomorrow, I have the review of The Underside of Joy for you - the book I read for BlogHer Book Club. Get ready. You'll want to pick this book up!
Also…I hit 400 followers on my blog 2 days ago. I'd still blog even if I had 20 followers…or 2, for that matter…because I blog for me, to document my life. But to see a number like that is humbling to me. I'm thankful for all of you who follow this "little" blog of mine…for caring. :) Thank you.
For now, add this recipe to your "to make" list. It's delish.
You'll need:
1/2 lb. pappardelle pasta
2 c. broccoli florets
1 Tbsp. oil (I used coconut oil, as usual.)
1 lb. chicken sausage link
1 red pepper
1 c. fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth
2/3 c. half-and-half
1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1 c. KRAFT Shredded Italian Five Cheese
2 Tbsp. reduced fat parmesan cheese, grated
Directions:
1. Cook pasta in large saucepan as directed on package, omitting salt and adding broccoli to the boiling water for the last 2 min.
2. Meanwhile, heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add sausage; cook on medium heat 5 min., stirring occasionally. Add peppers; cook and stir 5 min. or until peppers are crisp-tender and sausage is done.
3. Drain pasta mixture. Add to skillet along with broth, half-and-half and oregano; cook and stir 3-5 min. or until sauce is slightly thickened. Top with shredded cheese; cook 1-2 min. or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with parmesan.

Looks tasty! I love it when my husband responds with that level of enthusiasm--that definitely means the meal will be showing up again! =) Sorry to hear Ethan is sick, but I'm glad that you have the time off to be with him.
I hope Ethan starts feeling better! J woke up sick Monday night as well, thankfully our doctor gave him an antibiotic shot and he seems to be getting back to normal. Have a sick little one is no fun!
Oh and CONGRATS on reaching 400. It's always humbling to see those numbers go up :)
I was slightly afraid to look at your first picture after reading about your day yesterday! ;-) Haha. But it looks delicious. I'm so sorry your little guy has been sick. Sick babies are horrible. Jude has only thrown up once and it's miserable! Lots of prayers your way!
Praying Ethan is better soon. The pasta dish looks delish!
Yum looks so tasty! Definitely making this on Saturday :) Hope your little guy is feeling better tonight.
I hope you and E feel better! Btw this dish looks delish
That stomach bug has been going around here too. We all got hit by it. Hope he feels better. A throwing up baby/toddler is no fun.
Ooh, this looks delicious! I may have to try it next week!
